Chocolate Stains:
Chocolate Stain on the Carpet In order to remove chocolates stains from a carpet, remove what chocolate you can by hand. Be careful not to make the stain larger. Use a spoonful of a neutral detergent to one-cup warm water. Blot the solution on the spot. Press a wet cloth agains the affected area. Add one part vinegar to about 6 or 7 part water. Blot the mixture onto the spot. Again blot with plain water. The entire process may be repeated. You could also choose to let the chocolate solidify. Once the chocolate has hardened, it should be scraped off using a blunt knife or a scraper. Pour HOT water onto the area, avoiding over pouring. Pour until the chocolate spot is completely eliminated. It is always better to remove the chocolate stain while fresh. Chocolate Stain on Clothing: Remove any loose chocolate with a paper towel. Make a thick paste of powdered detergent to a little water. Apply the paste to the chocolate stain. Gently rub an allow to set for 15 minutes. The fabric is then machine-washed. If the stain has completely disappeared then it can be dried. If not, repeat the process. White vinegar on the stain and setting the item in the sun for several hours can help dissolve the stain. Soaking the item of clothing in cold water may help as well. A chemical for removing cocoa stains is hydrogen peroxide.
